Chamber to form tourism committee
Kershaw County Chamber of Commerce Vice President of Tourism Teri Teed said a county tourism committee could be organized as early as January 2011.

Cashion to return from Afghanistan Oct. 28
Soldiers form the 135th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, Alabama Army National Guard, will return to Birmingham Oct. 28 after a one-year deployment to Afghanistan. The unit is expected to return to the Birmingham National Guard armory.
