Yutaka to close June 29
SC Yutaka Technologies, an ATV and motorcycle parts manufacturer will close its Lugoff plant June 29, causing 150 employees to lose their jobs. Assistant Vice President of Operations Jim Edwards said the plant is being closed due to "external economic conditions."

Belk to host charity benefit sale

Coldwell Banker goes Platinum
Coldwell Banker United, Realtors has been named a Platinum level firm by the Cartus Broker Network in four of its Carolinas' markets, including the Midlands, Charleston and Sumter markets in South Carolina and the Charlotte market in North Carolina. Platinum is the highest of the Excellence Award recognition levels presented to qualifying principal brokers. SAFE promotes Brandon Oliver to Camden branch manager
Brandon Oliver was recently promoted to Camden Branch Manager. He started with SAFE in May of 2009 as a teller at SAFE's Manning branch. In November 2010, Oliver was promoted to Office Manager at SAFE's Santee location.
