Mitchell receives Compleat Lawyer Award from USC School of Law

Mid Carolina Credit Union recently held its 56th Annual membership meeting. During the meeting, members were informed of MCCU's newest products and services including CardValet and Mobile Pay as well as combating fraud, along with an update on the progress of the purchased property on US 1 in Lugoff. Plans are to break ground on the new Lugoff facility this summer; this expansion will enhance Mid Carolina's growth opportunities while also making the credit union more secure and convenient to its current membership.

Protective Packaging Inc. celebrates 30 years

Thirty years ago Tom Price, president and CEO of Protective Packaging, Inc., began his endeavor to become a successful custom folding carton manufacturer in a 10,000 square foot leased building on Percival Road with one piece of equipment and one employee, himself. Now located off Highway 601 in Lugoff, Protective Packaging, Inc. recently expanded from 60,000 square feet to 130,000 square feet last year, and continues to grow.
