Twenty-four hours before the doors even opened at 6 a.m. Thursday, more than 225 people began camping out on the grounds of the new Chick-Fil-A. They did so in the hopes of being chosen as one of 100 special Chick-Fil-A fans. It's an event that has become a Chick-Fil-A tradition across the country. Kershaw County's unemployment rate continues to improve, dropping from 6.6 percent in March to 6.2 in April. A year ago, the county's unemployment rate sat at 7.7 percent. Employment rose from 27,333 in March to 27,458 in April. In April 2012, the number of employed persons in Kershaw County was 27,163.
