Bronze Star salute
U.S. Army Chaplain Jerry Johnson (right), son of Gerald and Carolyn Johnson of Cassatt, has been awarded the Bronze Star for his work while deployed to Afghanistan for his second tour of duty. Making the presentation was Capt. Wes Cannon. Johnson, who is stationed at Fort Drum, N.Y., was also awarded the Bronze Star after his first tour. He and his wife, Carrie, have four sons, Bradley, Jeremy, Tommy and Jimmy.
Lindsey finishes Air Force basic training
U.S. Airman Dominique M. Lindsey has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas.
Padgett enlists in U.S. Navy
