Chambers leaves port in Italy
U.S. Navy Seaman Apprentice Janie E. Chambers, daughter of Naomi Chambers of Camden and Harry Chambers of Camden, alongside approximately 5, 500 Sailors attached to USS George H. W. Bush (CVN 77), recently departed Naples, Italy.
Post 17 at work
American Legon Post No. 17 recently made two donations in a one-week period. Locally, the post donated $310 -- the proceeds from its June picnic -- to the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter.
Donations Needed for Operation Stars and Stripes
SAFE Federal Credit Union, which operates branches in Kershaw County, has partnered with WIS, Wray Volkswagen Mazda and the Midlands chapter of Blue Star Mothers to supply care packages to troops overseas. Donations are needed for these care packages.
McNaughton finishes Navy basic training
U.S. Navy Fireman Adam M. McNaughton, a 2007 graduate of Camden Military Academy, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
Outlaw completes Army basic training
U.S. Air Force Airman Samantha A. Outlaw graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
