In a matter of two days, things have tightened up in the battle for second place in the American Legion League III standings.
MANNING -- It was a baseball game that both Kershaw County Post 17 and Manning-Santee needed as the American Legion League III standings begin to heat up with eight games remaining in the regular season.
Lugoff Kentucky Fried Chicken captured its second consecutive KCRD Instructional League baseball title this year. The team won the regular season title with an 11-0 record and then capped a perfect campaign by winning all three of its league tournament games. With the start of summer vacation only two days away, it is time for summer sports camps in Kershaw County, hosted by county high schools.
The Wateree Sailing Club (WSC) will host an Eastern Multihull Sailing Association (EMSA) regatta on Lake Wateree on Oct. 4-5.
