When North Central High graduate Devin Lee and his wife and Lugoff-Elgin graduate, Nikia Knox-Lee, purchased the Palmetto State Rizers, they said it was important that they try and give the American Basketball Association franchise a presence in their home county.

The Lexington County Soccer Club's (LCSC) Kershaw 95 Lady Strikers Soccer Team, a first-year girls U-17 soccer team made up of varsity and junior varsity players from both Camden and Lugoff-Elgin high schools, is hosting a fundraising golf tournament to benefit the fledgling program on Saturday, Oct. 13 at the White Pine Golf Club in Camden.
