On the night before his team was to leave to play in the first round of last weekend’s Palmetto Invitational tournament along the Grand Strand, Kershaw County American Legion head coach Will Dorton expressed reservations about playing four games in less than 48 hours so close to the end of the League III season and with the state playoffs on the horizon.

Coach Pitch All-Star tourney opens in Camden

Four Kershaw County Coach Pitch All-Star (7-8-year-olds) teams will be in Camden for the Dixie Youth AA Coach Pitch District 5 All-Star Tournament which begins Friday at Woodward Park with tourney action continuing into next week in the double-elimination event.
