BSA Troop 38 of Camden Military Academy held an Eagle court on May 20, 2017 on 4:00 PM. The ceremony was held at Grace Episcopal thanks to Dave Green and the generosity of the church. The following Eagles were recognized:

Bailey Ezell ... hails from Spartanburg and completed his project on the Camden Military Academy campus. It involved building furniture for the soccer and lacrosse teams so that visiting teams had a place to sit and attend their injured players. He also graduated this spring, and plans to attend The Citadel this fall.

Aaron Batalka ... is a rising junior from Warrenville, and had his crew build the benches that replaced the rotting pieces at the fishing pond at the Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site in time for a Department of Natural Resources-sponsored Fishing Rodeo. He is also a participant with the local Black Jack unit of the Pershing Rifles organization, and is set to be the school chapter president of the Key Club International next year.

Tanner Paul ... hails from Wrightsville Beach, N.C. Part of his project involved the re-roofing of a storage building containing thousands of dollars of sports equipment. Like the others, he maintained 3.9 - plus average. A rising junior, he plans to graduate high school, and attend college to become an ophthalmologist to follow in his father’s footsteps. He is also an avid player of lacrosse and has gone on mission trips with his youth group back in North Carolina.
