Looking for good, old-fashioned winter fun for your family? Historic Camden is hosting their annual Colonial Christmas event on Saturday, December 15 from 6 to 9 p.m. Although our Colonial forefathers did not celebrate Christmas in the same way we do now, this event will include modern elements on our historic site which the entire family will enjoy.

The houses at Historic Camden will be decorated, thanks in part to the Camden Garden Club. Treats will be handed out at each house in the village. Guests will be treated to a hay ride up to the Kershaw-Cornwallis House, where Santa Claus will be waiting for the children. There will also be carolers, a hot chocolate bar with a variety of toppings, and the Tavern will be open for adult beverages and sodas for sale. The gift shop will also be open late that night for any last-minute gifts and stocking-stuffers.

Colonial Christmas will take place at Historic Camden, located at 222 Broad St. Admission is $10 per car. Contact (803) 432-9841 or for questions.
