A funeral service to celebrate the life of Frances “Frankie” Doby Morgan, 96, of Camden, SC, will be held at 11:00 AM. Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church. Rev. Steve Patterson will officiate. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM, 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 455 St. Andrews Road, Building D, Suite 1, Columbia, SC 29210 or Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church, 1206 Lyttleton Street, Camden, SC 29020.

Frances died Saturday, October 7, 2017. She was born in Dalzell, SC, the daughter of the late James Tilden Doby and Ida Sims Doby. Frances was a member of Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church, the activity club and ABIE CAPERS Circle. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and was a 2012 recipient of the VFW Citizen of the Year Award. Frances was also a member of the Shrine Club Ladies Auxiliary.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Linda Brand of Columbia, Kay Elders (Dennis Becker) of Cayce and Becky Williams (Paul) of Greer; grandchildren, Gil Brand, Julie Marshall, Chuck Elders, Kelli McCormick and Dustin Williams; great-grandchildren, Dalton Elders, Lawson Brand, Graci Brand, Peyton Brand, David Marshall, Lauren Marshall, Jackson McCormick and Harrison McCormick.

Frances was predeceased by her husband, Marion Brooks Morgan and son-in-law, Frank Brand.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
