A memorial service to celebrate the life of Beverly Edwards Odom, age 80, of Camden, SC, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Bethesda Presbyterian Church. Rev. John Hallman will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service in John Knox Hall. Memorials may be made to Thiel-Meyer Pet Adoption Center, 128 Black River Road, Camden, SC 29020, Food for the Soul, 110 E. DeKalb Street, Camden, SC 29020, Bethesda Presbyterian Church, 502 DeKalb Street, Camden, SC 29020, or the charity of one’s choice.

Beverly Odom died Saturday, July 28, 2018. She was born in Harrisonburg, VA, the daughter of the late Oliver Glenn Edwards and Edith Coleman Brucker. She worked as an administrator at the Springdale Race Course for over 25 years.

Beverly is survived by her daughter, Sharon O. Singleton, Camden; daughter-in-law, Wanda Odom, Seminole, FL; sister Peggy Edwards Thompson (David), Camden; and brother, Vernon “Buddy” Edwards (Pat), Maitland, FL.

Besides her parents, Beverly was predeceased by her son, Robert Edward “Bobby” Odom.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Camden Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
