A service to honor the life of Charles Richard Amos, age 88, will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, at Springvale Baptist Church. Rev. Todd Horton and Edgar Bell will officiate. Burial with full military honors will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at noon, one hour prior to the service, at the church.

Mr. Amos died on Saturday, November 3, 2018. He was born in Morganton, NC, the son of the late James W. and Mary Sue Causby Amos. He was a decorated Airmen in the U.S. Air Force, having served for 22 years. Mr. Amos retired from DuPont and was a member of Springvale Baptist Church.

Surviving Mr. Amos are his wife, Frances Marie Hayes Amos; his children, James David Amos of Lugoff, and Susan Lee Amos Herron (Robert) of Rock Hill; and his grandchildren, Caroline, Cameron, and Chandler Lee Herron.

Mr. Amos was predeceased by his parents.
