Work is already underway on the new tennis complex the city of Camden is building at York and Campbell Streets. These six existing courts on York Street, formerly used by Camden High School, will be converted into two tennis courts and 14 pickleball courts. Pickleball, one of the fastest growing racquet sports in the country, utilizes a much smaller sized court and is played with smaller raquets and a plastic ball similar to a whiffle ball. Plans call for 14 new pickleball courts to be built here.
