‘Meet me at the River’ is August 18

Want an up close and personal look at the site of the new park on the Wateree River in Lugoff?

Kershaw County will host “Meet at the River,” an open house event for the community. From 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18 at the site of the future park, located at 550 U.S. 1, Lugoff, just across the bridge from Camden and adjacent to the public boat landing.

Citizens will be able to enjoy outdoor activities/games, listen to live music, and purchase food from local vendors/restaurants. During the event, site, history, and nature tours will be available throughout the day for attendees as well.

Any local restaurants or food vendors interested in participating must have a certificate of insurance with at least $300,000 in liability insurance and Kershaw County must be listed as a co-insured.
