ALPHA Center Executive Director Paul Napper has about a million good reasons to smile, as Rep. Laurie Funderburk (left) and Sen. Vincent Sheheen (right) presented Napper and The ALPHA Center with a check for $1 million on Monday. The money comes from $4 million total apprpriated by the S.C. legislature to fight the opioid addiction crisis currently rampant in the state of South Carolina. The money will go to help pay for construction of a planned addiction treatment facility as well as to help renovate the organization’s present administration/office building.
