Come see what we’re all about

Have you ever gotten lost in unknown (perhaps nonexistent) places? Have you fallen in love with people you have never met? Have you been so in tune with something that you refuse to believe that it is all false and fictional? If you answered yes to any of the questions above, it is probably a result of one thing -- a book.

Books are magical. They have the power to make the impossible possible, and take you to the depths of this world and back again. They bring immortals to life, and allow you to portray each scenario as you will. Books are a way to make all your dreams come true, and they allow you to escape from this reality that we get tangled up in so often without even leaving your seat.

Yes, books are great; and no, this is not just a rant about books. I am writing this article to get people excited about reading, and invite people of all ages (especially teenagers) to the Books on Broad Book Club in Camden.

Book Club is a great opportunity for people in the area to not only express and indulge in their love for reading, but it is a way for them to come together and bond with those who may share a similar passion or hobby as them. It is a great way to reach out, make new friends, enjoy a coffee or smoothie and have a time of sharing.  Books, treats, friends -- talk about a win, win!

Book Club not only allows you to expand your horizons but will also introduce you to new adventures through a variety of book genre -- some that you would have turned your nose up to before. Trust me -- you may find that perhaps dystopian books are alright, but not really your style, and romance is; true story.

All in all, I hope that you will consider this opportunity as an open invitation to join a group like this in our community. You do not have to commit, just come and check it out! It is a fun time for all, and we can bond over something that we all love -- books!

If you are interested, and/or have questions about Books on Broad Book Club contact Books on Broad and ask for Kim. I hope to see all you book-lovers at our next meeting -- see you soon!
