The city of Camden’s and Kershaw County’s public works departments recently competed in the annual Backhoe Rodeo competition at City Hall Park, located behind Camden City Hall. The competitions are held annually by the American Public Works Association to demonstrate the skills of backhoe operators in a fun and challenging event. The competition was sponsored by the city of Camden and Kershaw County public works departments. “Red” Ray Peterson, water and sewer supervisor for the city of Camden, coordinated the event with Nick Anderson, manager, Kershaw County Public Works.
