Jack D. Ray Jr., 51, passed away Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024. Born Feb. 9, 1972, in Richland County, S.C., he was the son of the late Jack D. Ray Sr. and Willie M. Woods Ray. Jack loved to travel and would often travel across the country or internationally for work, among those being Hungary, Budapest, and parts of Europe. He enjoyed taking pictures and posting on social media, trips to the beach and the lake. He had a funny personality and earned the nickname “Bob the Builder” due to his fix it himself attitude. He also enjoyed sports, the Carolina Gamecocks football and participating as a coach for his daughter’s basketball and softball team. Above all else, Jack enjoyed being with his daughter. Jack was well accomplished in his career, earning a Green Belt in safety and many safety and development awards and helped train companies internationally in safety.

Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Tristan Kaila Ray; sisters, Dianne Wingate (Jerry), Jackie Shaw (Dale), Esther Houlihan, and Janet Ivey (Denis); nieces, Michelle, Jennifer, Kelley and Rebecca; nephews, Dawson and Larry; and best friends, Chris Dixon and Chris Pendleton. He was predeceased by his sister, Allyson Ray.
