In a joint statement today, the city of Camden and Camden Media Company announced plans to again publish Camden: Classically Carolina, Camden’s official city magazine, to market the city of Camden.
Camden: Classically Carolina showcases and highlights people, places, amenities and events unique and special to the city of Camden.
“We very much appreciate the opportunity to work with Camden Media Company again this year in producing our annual city magazine. It has proven to be a good partnership and an excellent way to showcase Camden’s economic vitality and culture to thousands of residents of and visitors to South Carolina,” Camden Economic/Tourism Development Director Suzi Sale said.
The magazine will be edited by former Chronicle-Independent editor Martha Bruce.
Five thousand copies of Camden: Classically Carolina will be distributed through a variety of local, regional, statewide and national distribution channels, including welcome centers, real estate brokerages, relocation specialists, statewide commerce and economic development offices. In addition, the city’s Economic/Tourism Development Office will include the magazine in all business development prospecting, media relations, and group sales/rental initiatives. The magazine will also be available on the Chronicle-Independent’s website and the city’s website.
“Our magazine division is flourishing and I’m delighted, as publisher, to again partner with the city for the important task of publishing the official city of Camden magazine,” Camden Media Co. Publisher Mike Mischner said.
In addition to Camden: Classically Carolina, Camden Media Co.’s magazine division includes the Camden Horse & Equestrian, Discover Camden-Kershaw County and Lee Magazine in Lee County.
