Conner Industries Inc. is broadening its manufacturing capabilities at the company’s Lugoff manufacturing facility with the addition of a pallet machine and a new panel saw. In addition, the Fort Worth, Texas-based company is currently evaluating the possibility of adding a new facility to meet increasing demands in the region. According to a press release issued Tuesday, this follows several recent announcements from Conner, including other new equipment expenditures, and the opening of a new manufacturing facility in Clarksville, Tenn., signaling strong first quarter growth for the company.

“Making the move to install a high output pallet machine and a new panel saw at Lugoff is a good strategic move for Conner,” Conner Industries CEO David Dixon said. “Not only will it increase the plant’s manufacturing capacity, but it will also help us meet the growing needs of the region.”

Conner’s high output pallet machines offer standard-sized pallets with adjustable, reliable, and accurate nail patterns that provide consistent build quality from the first pallet to the last. These machines ensure that automated never means inferior. The new panel saw will reduce load and unload time, as well as reducing wood waste and increasing efficiency.

The company is also in the process of evaluating a new potential facility in the Lugoff area to meet the growing demand for industrial wood, custom pallets, and custom crates.

“While no decision has been made on a new facility at this time, it’s certainly something we’re considering,” Dixon said. “With so much business growth over the last year, it’s exciting to consider new facilities in growing markets, such as (the) Columbia (metro area).”
