Hengst to produce oil filter module for new Chrysler engine

Employees at Hengst of North America Inc. in Camden will manufacture compact oil filter modules developed for Chryslers new Pentastar V6 engine. Only the fully combustible oil filter insert is replaced during service while the complete module is mounted to the engine for its full life time.
Hengst of North America Inc.’s Camden facility, working with Chrysler Group LLC, has developed a special compact oil filter module for Chrysler’s new Pentastar V6 engine, a part of Chrysler’s goal of boosting fuel efficiency by 25 percent by 2014. As a Tier 1 supplier, Hengst developed a compact oil filter module made of polyamide plastic. Only the fully combustible filter insert is replaced during service while the complete module is mounted to the engine for its full life time.
