INVISTA, one of the world’s largest producers of polymers and fibers, is now hiring for more than 200 positions at its Camden plant in Lugoff. The bulk of the new INVISTA Camden roles will be transitioned from previous contractor positions, according to a press release issued Thursday.
In the press release, company officials said given the significant number of open positions, INVISTA Camden is launching one of its largest hiring campaigns ever undertaken.
“These additional employee roles bring huge opportunity to INVISTA and to our community,” INVISTA Camden Human Resources Manager Billy Buchanan said. “Camden is an important location for INVISTA, and the company continues to invest in new product lines, equipment and other manufacturing capabilities at the site.”
INVISTA is an independently managed, wholly owned subsidiary of Koch Industries. Koch companies employ nearly 2,400 people in South Carolina and 100,000 people globally.
“While many of the Camden jobs are entry-level positions, INVISTA and other Koch companies are known for encouraging career development and professional growth,” Buchanan said.

The Camden site began operations in 1950 and produces nylon polymer and fiber for products such as Stainmaster carpet, Antron carpet fiber and fiber used in the automotive industry.
