Local Credit Union will hold free shred event & community food drive Thursday

The Mid Carolina Credit Union will host a food drive, a branch wide bake sale to benefit the United Way of Kershaw County (UWKC) and a free community shred event on Thursday.

Residents of the community can bring up to four bankers boxes of paperwork to be shredded, no businesses will be permitted.

Shredding will take place at the Mid Carolina Camden Branch on Mill Street from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., the Lugoff Branch at 719 Highway 1 South from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and at the Mid Carolina Elgin Branch on Main Street from 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Community members are also invited to visit the Mid Carolina Credit Union Facebook page to vote on our staff’s ugly apron contest in honor of the UWKC’s 2014 campaign. The staff member that gets the most votes will win a prize basket of cooking goodies along with a gift card and one Facebook fan voter will win a gift card.
