New logos unveiled for industrial sites

The Kershaw County Economic Development Office, with financial assistance from the Kershaw County Committee of 100, recently created new logos for three of the county’s industrial parks. The new logos will be used to market the Central South Carolina MegaSite in Lugoff, Governor’s Hill Industrial Park near I-20 Exit 101 and Steeplechase Industrial Park off Black River Road.

“We determined the need for a more consistent look for our industrial identity during (a) recent economic development strategic planning process,” Kershaw County Economic Development Director Peggy McLean. “These logos are simple but powerful. Big, bold lettering was used not only to make them easier to read, but symbolize the strength of our industrial products.”

McLean said each circular icon represents a global image.

“In the case of the Central South Carolina MegaSite and Governor’s Hill Industrial Park, the interior symbols reflect growth and forward motion. The Steeplechase Industrial Park’s outline of the stylized horse reinforces the name and equestrian history of the community,” McLean said.

She said the new logos will be used on all marketing materials, including print, Web and advertising, as well as on industrial park signage. McLean also said her office plans to continue the design concept in all future creative projects.
