Shoppers, more come out for Small Business Saturday

Four Shop Small/Small Business Saturday balloons flutter in the breeze outside TenEleven Galleria near the corner of Broad and Rutledge streets. The balloons were one of the many ways the city of Camden and Kershaw County Chamber of Commerce advertised the early opening of various downtown businesses offering holiday sales on the day after Black Friday. - photo by Martin L. Residents and visitors alike took advantage of special holiday hours and sales during the city of Camden and Kershaw County Chamber of Commerce’s “Small Business Saturday” event on Saturday. Many shops not normally open on Saturday, or at least not until later in the day, opened around 8 a.m., which also marked the start of a “Shop Small” celebration in the city’s pocket park next to TenEleven Galleria at the corner of Broad and Rutledge streets. Many people also took advantage of a fun photo opportunity by getting inside a giant inflatable “snowglobe.”
