The city of Camden held its annual Arbor Day celebration at the Camden Archives and Museum on Nov. 5. City Urban Forester Liz Gilland organized the event, which featured musical performances from the Camden Elementary School Choir and remarks from Camden Mayor Tony Scully and Archives Director Katherine Richardson. They city planted a holly tree in commemoration of the day and to honor the late Sarah “Sadie” Kennedy Von Treschkow, the driving force behind Camden’s acquiring a public library through the Carnegie Foundation.
