Camden City Council will make a final decision as to whether to establish a “Bailey Bill” ordinance for the city of Camden. The term “Bailey Bill” refers to state law which allows local governments to grant special tax assessments to buildings and structures that qualify as rehabilitated historic properties. The city’s ordinance, based on the state Bailey Bill, is actually entitled “Special Property Tax Assessment Program for Rehabilitated Historic Properties.”
