Bid awarded for tennis complex
Groundbreaking set for March 13

Camden City Council unanimously awarded a bid Tuesday night to Loveless Commercial Contracting for site and construction work of the city’s proposed tennis complex on York Street between Campbell and Gordon streets. Loveless’ winning bid was for $2.905 million, more than $1 million below two competing bids. The city will also spend $166,532 for design and engineering work and another $75,000 for landscaping, bringing the project’s total cost to approximately $3.147 million.
