Broad St. 'road diet' meetings Nov. 14-15

The city of Camden, in partnership with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), will conduct a planning charrette Nov. 14-15 to kick off the Broad Street “road diet” project. All charrette activities will be held at 1034 Broad St. The charrette will provide an opportunity for citizens and groups to participate in the planning process and provide insight as to their vision for the future of Broad Street and downtown Camden, according to Wade F. Luther II, AICP, economic development director for the city of Camden The planning charrette has been designed to educate participants on the opportunities presented by the project and to gain an understanding of community desires regarding project outcomes, Luther said. Charrette activities will include focus sessions; project team work sessions; an evening public input meeting; and a summary presentation.
