Camden City Council has a short agenda for its meeting Tuesday night, and has canceled its afternoon work session.

On the agenda for Tuesday evening are a proclamation naming the week of Sept. 17-23 as Consitution Week in Camden; a special presentation by the S.C. Equine Foundation; a special presentation honoring the Camden Fire Department (CFD) and Muscular Dystrophy Association on the success of the CFD and Lugoff Fire-Rescue squad’s “Fill the Boot” campaign; and consideration of a resolution authorizing the consumption of beer and wine at the Carolina Downhome Blues Festival.

This year’s festival begins Thursday, Oct. 2, and runs through that Saturday, Oct. 4.

The agenda also includes an executive session to discuss a so far undisclosed contractual matter.

Tuesday’s meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. in council chambers on the second floor of Camden City Hall, 1000 Lyttleton St., and is open to the public.
