Camden Lions celebrate 67th anniversary and years of service

Current members of the Camden Lions Club celebrate the organizations 67th anniversary in Camden. The include (from left to right) Board Member John Blackwell, Vice President Ed Stokes, Immediate Past President Pete Demeter, Treasurer Jim Varn, Presiding Inductor Rich Pinkerton, President Dan Lovatt, Secretary Phil McGee, Board Member Ben Tobin, Lion Tamer Roger Smoak and Tailtwister Dan Outlaw.
Several prominent businessmen chartered the Camden Lions Club in 1946. Their first project involved raising funds to purchase a new iron lung for the local hospital to treat polio victims. Since that time, more than 500 men and women have been a part of the Lions Club in Camden.
