With one hand on a Bible held by his wife and family and friends looking on, Clay Carruth officially took the oath of office as the city of Camden’s newest municipal judge during a swearing-in ceremony June 30 in Camden City Hall. Camden Mayor Tony Scully administered the oath to Carruth. Carruth replaces Bill Funderburk, who was sworn in Monday as the state’s newest administrative law court judge (see accompanying story).
