The Camden Historic Landmarks Commission (CHLC) is holding an open house today from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Camden City Council’s chambers on the second floor of Camden City Hall.
The CHLC is using the open house to collect comments from the public on the second draft of design guidelines for the city’s historic overlay district. The guidelines are intended to assist property owners in developing projects in the district what will preserve district resources, accommodate change and maintain the character of the district. This document is an update to Camden’s current historic design guidelines.
During tonight’s open house, consultants from Winter & Company of Boulder, Colo., will introduce the project, review the proposed document and collect feedback. Design issues will also be identified and discussed.
