City Council approves economic development incentives

A new Hampton Inn appears to be a go, at least as far as the city of Camden is concerned. During it’s meeting Tuesday night, Camden City Council gave second reading and final approval to an ordinance granting economic development incentives to build a hotel on Wall Street, near the I-20/Exit 98 interchange. The $3.225 million project, which is to be a 64 room Hampton Inn, is expected to create at least ten new jobs.
