Camden City Council will discuss a number of new recreation projects Tuesday afternoon during a special work session prior to council’s regular session. Council will hear an update from City Planner Shawn Putnam and Josh Moore of the U.S. National Park Service about a proposed green space planned for a site adjacent to the city’s wastewater treatment plant. The idea is to convert a former 16-acre wastewater lagoon into an environmental education campus/park with the goals of conservation, environmental educational, creation of wildlife habitat, storm water treatment and recreation opportunities.
