The city of Camden is, at least temporarily, creating a park out of the former Maxway department store site on the northwest corner of Broad and Rutledge streets. City Manager Mel Pearson said work started recently with the addition of decorative lights. “We are going to build a park that will improve the aesthetic of that corner,” Pearson said Friday.
