Camden City Council declared May as Mental Health Awareness Month and Small Business Month during its meeting Tuesday night. Reading the proclamation for Mental Health Awareness Month, Mayor Tony Scully recognized the work of Mental Health America Kershaw County (MHAKC) in assisting people with mental illness and educating the public about mental disorders. Scully presented the proclamation to MHAKC Director Debbie Massalon; Larry Graham, chair of the MHAKC board; and Kathy Barnes, the board’s secretary.
