City honors long-time firefighter upon retirement

With tears streaming down his face, retiring Camden Fire Department (CFD) Capt. Donnelle Stoney thanks CFD Chief John Bowers, his fellow firefighters and Camden City Council for recognizing him after 36 years of the job. For 36 years, Capt. Donnelle Stoney fought fires with and led shifts at the Camden Fire Department (CFD). Camden City Council honored Stoney during its meeting Tuesday with a certificate of recognition read by Mayor Alfred Mae Drakeford, and words of praise from CFD Chief John Bowers.
