Camden City Council unanimously approved the 2017 budget for the city of Camden following a public hearing held at Tuesday night’s city council meeting. This year’s budget does not call for a tax increase, nor does city staff expect an increase in utility service fees. The $42.7 million budget contains five sectors, including the $9.441 million General Fund, $488,700 Project Improvement Fund, $368,700 Paving Fund, $31.529 Utility Fund, and $855,000 Local Source Revenue Fund.
