“Hallelujah!” Camden City Councilwoman Alfred Mae Drakeford shouted Thursday afternoon. Drakeford had just learned she and her fellow council members would get the chance to vote Tuesday to purchase a large portion of the old Boylan-Haven-Mather Academy site.
