Camden Mayor Tony Scully signed a proclamation praising the BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Foundation for a $3.8 million grant to Health Sciences South Carolina to establish the Surgical Quality Collaborative. This statewide collaborative will provide hospitals across the state, including KershawHealth, vital resources to improve surgical outcomes and reduce morbidity. According to a city of Camden press release, the citizens of Camden will benefit from an increased quality of surgical care, including a reduction in surgical complications and readmissions.
