Camden Public Works Director Tom Couch was one of a number of city and county officials who responded to the scene of an accident that claimed the life of a 25-year-old construction worker Friday in Camden. Juan Tenalozo was killed when the side of a ditch he was working in collapsed.
A construction worker was killed Friday while working on a sewer project on Ancrum Road in Camden. The accident occurred at about 11:45 a.m. Friday, according to Kershaw County Coroner David West. Juan Tenalozo, 25, of Columbia, was working in a ditch about 6-7 feet deep working on a sewer line when the wall he was working next to collapsed, West said.
