A little after 3 p.m. on Saturday, the Jackson Teen Center’s (JTC) Margaret Lopez Dining Hall turned into a 1920s dinner theater called the “Boom Boom Room.” Some 50 to 60 people -- most wearing their dining-out best -- sat in black silk-covered seats at tables set with red-and-black checkerboard tablecloths and centerpieces of either hats with feathers stuck in their bands or martini glasses filled with glass beads, “pearls” and dice.
