Camden City Council will hear a report on the pending opening of the African American Cultural Center from City Manager Mel Pearson during its meeting tonight. Council will also consider proclaiming February as African American Culture Month in the city. The center will open Feb. 24 on the grounds of The Price House just off the corner of Broad and York streets, which will also be the site that day of The Price House Committee’s “Solicious” festival.
