Tuesday afternoon, a large group of family and friends gathered to fete Dr. Larry Parrott in Camden’s Rectory Square. The ceremony, part of the city of Camden’s Leader’s Legacy Recognition Program, included the official dedication of a memorial Leadership Legacy bench to Parrott for his years of service to the community. Parrott, a retired pathologist who served tirelessly in that role for more than 30 years at the hospital now known as KershawHealth, has for years also been a very busy and dedicated community supporter, not only active at Bethesda Presbyterian Church, but also in many facets of the community, from organizations such as Rotary to youth sports and activities.
