During its meeting Tuesday, Camden City Council recognized Camden Fire Department (CFD) Deputy Chief and Fire Marshal Phil Elliott, who is retiring after nearly 40 years of service. Elliott began his career in 1984 as a volunteer with the fire department and was hired as a fulltime firefighter in 1986, becoming an engineer in 1987.
