It’s cliché to say someone’s life has prepared them for their latest role, but it may actually be true for Katharine Spadacenta. Born in Wallingford, Conn. -- “kind of halfway between Hartford and New Haven,” she said -- Spadacenta spent the first 13 years of her life in what she called a “grand historic home.” “I think it was built around 1890, 1900.
