Newly elected Camden Mayor Tony Scully and Councilwoman Laurie Parks will be greeted at their first work session and regular meeting with thick agendas Tuesday. Council will not meet again until January. The 4 p.m. work session will include further discussion on the search for a new city manager; a detailed audit report of Fiscal Year 2012 finances, which ended June 30; an executive session to discuss personnel matters involving the city attorney position and a retiring employee, as well as legal advice about the Chronicle-Independent’s S.C. Freedom of Information Act request concerning “donations” to the city’s drug fund; and a discussion of the proposal to transform the Camden Historic Landmarks Commission (CHLC) into a board of architectural review (BAR).
